Richard Shelbourne

Richard Shelbourne
When Colonel Clifford P. Shelbourne returned home from serving his country in World War II, he brought with him the George Medal for bravery in the line of duty & was later to receive the Order of the British Empire from King George VI, but more importantly his return brought about the birth of his youngest son & eighth child Richard John Shelbourne.

Born into a civil engineering family, Richard followed the family tradition & worked in the profession for several years gaining experience in supervision & technical skills on major civil engineering projects. Richard became a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Tallow Chandlers, a City of London Livery Company, by patronage of his Grandfather Charles Living.

For the last ten years before retiring & moving to the USA Richard worked for the Lord Chancellor's Department in civil litigation, in administration & enforcement. In 2004 Richard moved to the USA & married Barbara Jean Toth. Richard has enjoyed playing many sports, rugby football, soccer, grass hockey, tennis, biking & hiking & is looking forward to kayaking & skiing. Richard is a real family man & enjoys being a Father & Grandfather.
